2006. Chicago, Illinois. Amidst an uncertain world, Sachi is preparing to give birth. Josh, the father, is running late to the hospital. Amari, Sachi’s nurse, negotiates news about his family’s future in the US with the stress of an increasingly complicated birth. Each questions their belonging in the world outside the delivery room.
