THE COURTER
Adapted by Jacob Leder
Designed by Nolan Schoenle
Directed by Ahon Gooptu
An all-student production, in which we adapted and staged Salman Rushdie's concluding story in his East, West short story collection as the final project for our seminar in performance studies, "Adapting and Performing Postcolonial Stories." The story explored the intricacies of the immigrant experience in a foreign land, something that resonated with me and most of the cast.
